Project Overview

Gaimukh Payegaon creek bridge will provide seamless linkage to the Virar–Alibaug Multimodal Corridor and improve connectivity between Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority, Navi Mumbai, Mumbai, Thane, and Bhiwandi. The project eliminates the need for vehicular detours via Ghodbunder Road, offering a more direct and efficient route. By diverting port-bound and intercity traffic outside Thane city limits, the bridge will significantly reduce congestion within the urban core.

Total bridge length of 6.509 km include 4.025 km Viaduct portion contain Navigational span with segmental balanced cantilever superstructure of 60+120+60m along with typical 3/4 span continuous unit of 3x30m with pretension I girder type superstructure, 105m Steel truss and 2.484 km Ramps.

The structure is designed for a driving speed of 50 kmph carrying 6 lanes of traffic.
