Project Overview

Bankot creek Bridge is the part of Revas – Reddi Coastal Highway being built by Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) across creeks and rivers to cut down driving times between towns along the Arabian Sea.

This new bridge over Savitri River will connect Bankot (near Vesvi Port) in Ratnagiri District and Bagmandla (near Harihareshwar) in Raigad District.

Total bridge length of 1340m contains Navigational span with Cable stayed type superstructure of 62.5+125+62.5m along with viaduct portion with typical 3 span continuous unit of 3x50m with three cell box girder type superstructure (Fish belly shape) and pier heights ranging upto 30m. This bridge is located at mouth of Savitri river meeting at Arabian sea near Harihareshwar .
The structure is designed for a driving speed of 80 kmph carrying 5 lanes of traffic or 4lane with both side footpath.
